MDM data offer wins the German Mobility Award!
The SEVAS project of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg GmbH,
with the support of the NRW Ministry of Transport, serves the digital collection, management and dissemination of data on HGV navigation in the Rhineland. The goal is efficient and safe management of freight traffic on the public road network, across jurisdictional boundaries and regions.
This involves network-related HGV priority routes, local access restrictions, etc., which are entered and managed by the participating road operators such as municipalities via central software. This is done via the so-called SEVAS system.
To increase the reach of such information, e.g. in navigation services for lorry drivers, SEVAS also contains interfaces to the MDM, among others. Corresponding MDM publications can be obtained from the MDM.
The MDM team congratulates the SEVAS team on the German Mobility Award and wishes them continued success!
By the way: The competition motto of the German Mobility Award this year was “intelligent on the road: data makes mobile.” This motto is quite in line with the MDM philosophy and we consider SEVAS as another MDM best practice.
